My Literary Works
Mina Matin is an American/ British citizen, of Bengali origin. She is a lawyer living in New York. She writes novels and poetry, much of which is influenced by her passion for metaphysical poetry and romanticism. She writes to inspire her readers so that they may find light in darkness and embrace their own identity regardless of their race, gender or sexual orientation.
"The Voice of Angels - Six Seasons of Inner Happiness" is a book of inspiration and poetry through which its readers discover the six seasons we cycle through in life to finding inner happiness.
She is currently writing "The Coconut Girl", a novel which is based on her own life's journey. Sophia Rahman embarks on a journey of self-discovery through which she struggles to find her true identity in life. Her path takes her from London to Mount Everest, Montana, Colorado, California, Bermuda and New York before becoming a lawyer at a global law firm in New York. Sophia eventually finds her true identity but not before unraveling a world of deception, societal conservatism & romantic intrigue.
My Story
I grew up in Yorkshire on the Moors at a time when English conservatism was unaccustomed to diversity. Fiery spirited, I believed that there is no mountain that is unsurmountable and that we possess the power to make our visions our reality.
My zeal for Life and the pursuit of a legal career led me from the Yorkshire Moors to London, Mount Everest, Montana, Colorado, California, New York, Bermuda and back to New York.
Even though I was a puppet moving to the cadence of my life's destiny which was unplanned but planned, I realized that there was divine synchronization and harmony in every step of my life's journey.
